Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your car's paint and cures into a hard, semi-permanent protective layer. Unlike wax or sealants which sit on top of the paint and wear off within 2–3 months a professional-grade ceramic coating lasts between 5 and 9 years.

How We Apply Ceramic Coating, Step by Step.
1. Wash & Decontamination
Full alkaline pre-wash, iron remover, and clay bar treatment. This strips bonded contamination, brake dust, rail dust, traffic film that washing alone can't remove.
2. Machine Polish
New cars receive a light polish; used cars receive a cut and polish to remove swirl marks and scratches. Our goal is always to preserve as much clear coat as possible.
3. Panel Prep
Every painted surface is wiped down with isopropyl alcohol to remove polish oils, leaving a completely clean surface for the coating to bond to.
4. Coating Application
Applied panel by panel, allowed to flash (bond to the paint), then levelled with two separate microfibre towels to guarantee an even, high-spot-free finish.

My car is new, does it really need ceramic coating?
New paint is actually the best time to coat it. Fresh paint has no swirl marks, no oxidation, and no contamination — coating it now locks that in and protects it from the moment it hits the road. Wait too long and you're paying to correct the paint before you can coat it.
How long does ceramic coating actually last?
That depends on the package you choose. Our New Car Ceramic protects for 5 years, and our New Car Graphene pushes that to 9 years. Both come with complimentary annual inspections to make sure the coating is performing as it should.
Is it worth the cost compared to regular waxing?
Wax needs to be reapplied every few months and offers minimal protection against UV, scratches, or contaminants. Ceramic coating is a one-time investment that outperforms wax in every category and over 5 to 9 years, it's significantly cheaper than repeated waxing and paint correction down the track.
Will it scratch or wash off?
Ceramic coating bonds chemically to your clear coat it won't wash off or wipe away. It adds a hardened layer that resists light scratches and swirl marks from everyday driving. It's not scratch-proof, but it's significantly more resistant than unprotected paint.
How much does ceramic coating cost in Wollongong?

How soon can I drive my car after ceramic coating?
You can drive almost immediately. However, keep water off the paint for a minimum of 4 hours, and avoid soaps or chemicals for 2 weeks while the coating fully cures.
What's the difference between ceramic and graphene coating?
Both are built on silicon dioxide for UV protection. Graphene coatings add graphite oxide, making the surface slicker, more resistant to water spotting, and longer lasting which is why our graphene package is rated to 9 years. Graphene is especially recommended for darker coloured cars where water spots show most.
Does ceramic coating protect against rock chips?
No. Ceramic coating resists light scratches, swirl marks and chemical etching, but a rock strike will still damage the paint. Paint protection film (PPF) is the right product for rock chip protection.
How do I maintain a ceramic coated car?
Wash every 2–4 weeks with a pH neutral shampoo, avoid brush-style automatic car washes, and avoid wax-based products. Every Hook coating includes complimentary annual inspections, plus a free follow-up wash 2 weeks after application.
