What is the difference between detailing, polishing, and paint correction?
Detailing is a thorough cleaning. Polishing uses mild abrasives to quickly boost gloss. Paint Correction is a highly precise, labor-intensive machine process using compounds and polishes to permanently remove swirl marks, scratches, and defects from the clear coat.
Will paint correction remove every scratch on my car?
It will completely remove deep swirl marks, spiderwebbing, and light scratches. However, if a scratch has completely penetrated through the clear coat down to the primer or bare metal (if you can catch your fingernail in it), it will require a touch-up paint repair rather than correction.
Do I need to get a Ceramic Coating afterward?
While not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Paint correction leaves your clear coat completely bare and perfectly smooth. Applying a Ceramic Coating immediately afterward locks in that flawless shine and protects the freshly exposed clear coat from UV rays and environmental damage for years.
How long does a paint correction take?
A Stage 1 Enhancement typically takes 4–6 hours. A full Stage 2 Multi-Stage Correction can take anywhere from 8 to 14+ hours depending on the size and condition of the vehicle.
